Sexual gall (Fig. 15) a thin-shelled monolocular bud gall on young twigs, succulent, green, with longitudinal ridges and tubercles scattered over the surface, each ridge ending in pointed process some distance before the gall apex, internally hollow, 4–7 mm in length (McCracken & Egbert 1922; Russo 2006, 2021).

In spring, much less conspicuous, bisexual-generation, monothalamous, round bud galls develop. The bisexual bud galls of this species are succulent and green, but with tubercles scattered over the surface.
