Range: El Paso cty TX

Host: Quercus pungens. Galls of this type were also seen on Q arizonica, grisea, and oblongifolia, but no wasps were reared from them.

Gall.--Fig 17. Monothalamous, thin-walled blisters that burst from cracks in the bark of twigs; galls are smooth, tan, 5-7 mm long. Adult females emerged 23-26 Mar and oviposited in unopened, dormant buds.

Hosts: Quercus arizonica, oblongifolia, toumeyi, rugosa, turbinella

This wasp induces clusters of galls on stems of shrub live, Arizona white, Mexican blue, Toumey and netleaf oaks that stand out from normal branch tissues. Galls are fawn- to chestnut-brown, glabrous and slightly pitted.
