Gallformers ID Notes

Small, globular galls attached to the lower side of Quercus imbricaria leaves in the spring, containing an ovate free-rolling cell. The outer surface is more translucent than similar Dryocosmus galls, appearing nearly colorless with shades of green and pink. Little to no evidence of the gall was detectable from the upper side of the leaf.

Observed in May in Ohio and Iowa.
