Relationship: Erineum pockets on lower surfaces of leaves.

Notes: There may be several sibling species on these oaks; careful rearing and DNA research should be done.

Eriophyes mackiei

Hosts: all live oaks in the black and intermediate groups

Erineum pockets on the underside of leaves are normally rusty brown but can also be beige, pink, or rosy. These pockets are matched by corresponding convex bumps on dorsal surface.
