Gallformers ID Notes

A slightly tapered hairless stem swelling on Porophyllum gracile. According to Arizonensis.org a midge belonging to the genus Asphondylia was extracted from a gall like this, but another observation contained a caterpillar. This may be an inquiline. Observed in Arizona in October.
