Gallformers ID Notes

Circular leaf spots on Acer negundo, starting gray and often disintegrating in the center leaving a round gap in the leaf. May be caused by more than one fungal pathogen; cf Phyllosticta negundinis, Cylindrosporium negundinis, Septoria negundinis, or Cercospora negundinis, or none of these. A similar lesion has been noted as caused by Cristulariella moricola on Acer negundo in Korea.
