Gallformers ID Notes

This page is for Asphondylia solidaginis-like terminal bud galls observed from Solidago chapmanii; e.g. Aidan Marshall's observation uploaded here. Solidago chapmanii is probably closely related to Solidago odora, and has been included in that species in the past. Asphondylia-like galls have been reported from Solidago odora, as well (Dorchin et al., 2015) though to my knowledge they have not been assigned to a particular species. Those galls are likely conspecific with these on Solidago chapmanii, but they have a separate gallformers page here.
